We Evaluate Visual Efficiency

Every child begins with a comprehensive assessment of how efficiently their eyes and brain work together. We test what a standard eye exam does not measure.

Step 02 · Personalized Plan

We Build a Plan Around Your Child Specifically

If we identify areas of inefficiency, we design a personalized therapy plan to strengthen those visual skills. Two children with similar symptoms may have different underlying needs and different plans.

Step 03 · Strengthened Foundation

As Visual Efficiency Improves, Learning Requires Less Effort

Through guided sessions and consistent support, we train the brain to use the eyes more effectively. Progress is measured at regular checkpoints throughout so you always know where your child stands.

Most optometry practices offer vision therapy as one of many services. VUE was founded as a dedicated vision therapy practice, designed from the ground up to assess and treat visual efficiency disorders in children who are struggling to learn.

If your child has been told their vision is fine and is still struggling, that is precisely the situation our assessment is designed for. We assess what standard testing does not.

Our Protocols Are the Same Ones Used in Our Published Research

VUE’s assessment and therapy protocols were developed in collaboration with the University of Waterloo School of Optometry and Vision Science, and have been published in peer-reviewed literature.

All Therapy Is Clinically Supervised with Measurable Milestones

In-office sessions are conducted by our trained therapy team under direct clinician supervision. Progress is measured at regular checkpoints throughout so you always know where your child stands.

We Only Recommend Therapy When the Data Supports It

If vision therapy is indicated, we design a personalized program. If it is not indicated, we tell you that directly and explain why. We do not prescribe therapy unless the assessment supports it.
